At the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 held in late March, He Jian, General Manager of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Dairy (NCTID) and Head of Yili Group’s Global Innovation Center, participated in the roundtable themed "A Shared Future of Health for All " and delivered key insights.
With rising living standards and dietary shifts, obesity has become a growing concern—not only impacting public health but also straining medical resource allocation and sustainable social development. Centering on the theme "Ensuring Healthy Lives and Promoting Well-Being for All Ages," delegates engaged in in-depth discussions to explore solutions. He Jian remarked: "The NCTID is committed to scientific innovation and technological breakthroughs, enabling consumers to enjoy products with reduced sugar and fat while maintaining great taste—all part of a healthier diet."

As the lead organization for the construction NCTID, Yili Group actively translates these principles into practice. In product development, Yili focuses on internal optimization, shifting from basic dairy processing to producing high-value functional ingredients through advanced technologies—such as extracting lactoferrin—to deliver precision nutrition. Simultaneously, the company pursues external expansion by embracing traditional Chinese medicine’s "food-as-medicine" philosophy. To address the diverse health needs of aging populations, Yili has pioneered innovative dairy products like stomach-nourishing milk, which blends herbal ingredients such as Hericium erinaceus and dried ginger with milk, alongside functional senior milk powder tailored for older adults.
